What is a Snagging Survey and do I need one?
A snagging inspection is a detailed check of a newly built home to spot and document any defects—big or small. These "snags" can range from minor cosmetic flaws to serious structural or compliance issues that don’t meet technical standards like NHBC, LABC, Premier Guarantees, or Building Regulations.

If you're buying a new build house, a snagging inspection is highly recommended. In our experience, many properties have hundreds of unnoticed snags that developers overlook—issues that homeowners may not spot until it’s too late. Catch them early and move in with confidence!

Quick and Simple Process
Buying a new build home can leave you with so much to do - that's why we have made our process as smooth and as quick as possible. We offer electronic copies of the reports and fast turn around time, leaving you free to get on with the unpacking.
Our three step process

First, the customer selects a convenient time for the snagging survey. This typically takes place the day after completion, though some developers may allow it to be done beforehand.

Next, one of our qualified surveyors will inspect the property collecting information and photos of all the defects found. This can take between 4-6 hours depending on the size of the property.

Finally, we’ll create a clear, easy-to-understand snagging report with all the findings and send it to you electronically—usually within 24-48 hours of your new build home inspection.
